Library Bag Fave

5 of 5 stars to Count the Monkeys! by Mac Barnett and illustrated by Kevin Cornell. Mac Barnett is a fave of mine (LOVE his Extra Yarn illustrated by Jon Klassen) and this book is ALL awesomeness! It's not your typical counting book...not by a long shot! It's a participation book like Willems' Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus. Kids and other human beings will laugh at the craziness that is going on inside! Fun, fun, fun will be had by all who enter!

I will definitely be getting this for my granddaughter, Jean. It will also be great for my grandson down the line. :)

You will notice that I try not to give reviews that are of any length or go into much of the story. I usually read books because of recommendations from other people. IF I read a review, I read the shortest one I can find or just a few paragraphs of a long review. I like to use our wonderful public library's summary of a book, it's short and to the point. As my grandson and I say at the end of each book, "YAY BOOKS" and then we clap and holler like Kermit the Frog.
